MOST FROM YOUR HDMS™?

ARE YOU GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR HDMS™?One venue, two rooms, very different styles, what’s the solution? Nightlife’s Multi-Zone HDMS™. Some may ask, “What is Multi-Zone?” It is the ability to play a diverse selection of music in various areas of a venue (zones) simultaneously. This means you can customise your music to suit the specific areas of operation and target the patronage within these individual zones. The HDMS™ can Multi-Zone your music to two or more rooms and can be configured with up to four independent music channels, allowing you to entertain a variety of customer demographics by delivering music independently to multiple zones.Your venue and the various operational areas within your venue are unique. Nightlife can customise both the music and systems configuration to suit your space specifically.Putting it into context, a main bar area of a standard venue generally draws on upbeat foreground music utilised primarily as entertainment for this area attracting a particular crowd. The dining area on the other hand, has a need for background, easy listening, mood music to allow for its diners to enjoy their meal.Another example is a sports bar may play music to suit an older demographic on one side and on the other plays to an upmarket lounge crowd. For nightclubs, the DJ Pro Multi-zone is your best bet. You can finally have full nightclub beat mixing and still have a second audio zone playing all in the one computer!Brisbane’s Chalk Hotel makes great use of the Multi-Zone HDMS™. Their zones are divided into rooms and each has an individual feel and tone.Downstairs in the Sticks Restaurant audio only music is played, consisting of a refined selection of exquisite dining and lounge music with various ethnic influences from around the world mixed with traditional jazz. This provides a very relaxed and distinguished atmosphere to match the environment and the amazing menu selection to create an overall product.

Fury: MMORPG without the boring bits?Brisbane-based game developer Auran is about to launch Fury, a new MMORPG* PC game that has its sights on taking on widely popular established titles such as World of Warcraft, Guild Wars and Unreal Tournament. It's a classic case of the Aussie battlers having a go at the global giants, with Fury's developers hoping the innovations they've designed will bring success by elevating the genre to a new level for online gamers. They claim that they've cut out the boring bits -- i.e. tedious level grinding -- that hamper other titles, and that Fury neatly combines fast paced action with skills-based PvP combat.CNET.com.au spoke with Auran CEO Tony Hilliam outside Tank Nightclub prior to the Sydney launch of Fury to retail partners and the media. Watch our video to hear him explain its fantasy environment, its unique character advancement and combat systems, plus other features that he believes will set Fury apart from other games in the MMORPG crowd. After two years in development, Fury will be available in Australia from October for AU$89.95. Those keen to try-before-they-buy can get into a US$1 million pre-launch Fury tournament coming up in September. Click here for more info about the tournament and launch event.
